The first public consultation period for the Development Plans commences
this Friday, the 15th June. As part of this a total of seven public
meetings will be held around the county, the first of which will be held in
Parade Tower, Kilkenny Castle, on the 19th June at 7.30pm. Details of the

The purpose of the meetings is to consult with the citizens of the county
in the formulation of new City and County Development Plans. In addition
to seeking general views, each meeting will have a particular theme to
focus on for discussion.
To encourage and inform debate on the themes, a number of resources have
been compiled for each meeting. These resources include the relevant
chapters from the existing (2008-2014) Development Plans and also links to
other related websites.
As a registered user, you will receive regular updates as the two year
process moves along. We encourage you to ask other friends/neighbours etc
to sign up so that they too can become involved and participate in planning
